Denmead Scouts Recycling Centre update

We are still collecting biscuit wrappers and spectacles.

However as you may have noticed, the number of bins at our recycling centre has gradually been going down recently.

TerraCycle, the company who recycle the items are collecting less and less.

This is good news because it means that manufacturers are changing their packaging to be more recyclable so the TerraCycle programmes aren’t needed.

They have recently closed the Pringle tubes and sweet wrapper programmes and bread bags will be stopping on 12th August.

If you have any bread bags please get them to us before then.

We are still collecting biscuit wrappers and spectacles.

We have 2 clothing banks and as well as our bins at the HQ for bras, you can also drop them off at the Community Centre or Granduer Beauty (next to the Chinese takeaway).
