Denmead Scout Group hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds and support other local charities. 

This year we are increasing our fundraising efforts to help us build our new Scout HQ. 

Please come and support us at our events this year which are:-

Sunday 6th September – Dinosaur Derby

Sunday 20th September – Fun Dog Show

Sunday 15th November – Xmas Craft Market & clothes swap

Sunday 29th November – Christmas Craft Workshop​

Sunday 6th September 2026 - Dinosaur Derby

Time: 1:30pm to 5 pm

Location: Scout HQ, Kidmore Lane

Cost: £3 per family

The Scout Group’s main fundraising event of the year is set to return.

Based on an old-fashioned country fair with lots of sideshows.
It is one of the biggest, family fun, community events held in Denmead.

Sorry but as the field outside the HQ where the Dinosaur Derby is held is designated as a Playing field and so unfortunately,  Dogs are not allowed (Assistance dogs excepted).
 
 

Sunday 20th September - Fun Dog Show

Location: Denmead Community Centre

Cost: £TBA

Sunday 15th November - Christmas Craft Market and Clothing Swap

Time: 1pm to 4 pm

Location: Scout HQ Kidmore Lane

Cost: £5 (Includes afternoon tea)

Swap clothes you don’t want anymore for new ones in our clothes swap and buy some Xmas gifts,
Then join us for afternoon tea with homemade cakes

How it works:

Bring good condition clothes, shoes and accessories.
For each item you bring you will receive a token to exchange for another item.

Sunday 29th November - Christmas Craft Workshop

Time: 10 am to 4 pm

Location: Scout HQ Kidmore Lane

Cost: £50 (including Home Cooked 2 course lunch and refreshment.)

Treat yourself to a relaxing day of craft
Make a natural wreath and table decoration, then try different crafts to make fabulous decorations to take home,

All craft supplies are provided.
