Join us at one our our upcoming events to support the group

Denmead Scout Group hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds and support other local charities. 

This year we are increasing our fundraising efforts to help us build our new Scout HQ. 

Please come and support us at our events this year which are:-

Monday 22nd December Santa Round the Village

Tuesday 19th May – Charity Golf Tournament

Saturday 20th December - Outdoor Carols

Time:  6 pm

Location: All Saints Church Car Park

 

Join us for some Carol Singing in church car park, accompanied by Denmead Brass Band, bring the family along to get all Christmassy!

This is an outdoor event so remember to wear a coat and please bring your own Lantern.

Santa will be there on his sleigh!

Monday 22nd December - Santa Round the Village

Time:  4:35 pm to 7:35  pm – see the map

Location: Denmead Village Centre

NEW DATE TO DUE TO BAD WEATHER ON SUNDAY

Santa will be touring the village asking children what they would like for Christmas.

Denmead Scouts will once again be driving Santa round in his sleigh. 

Thus map shows the stopping points and times.

We will be collecting donations along the way for the Langstone Sailability Trust.

Tuesday 19th May - Charity Golf Tournament

Time:  Check in 8.45am for a bacon buttie & coffee, with start at 10am

Location: Southwick Park Golf Course

Cost: £80 per player (Includes breakfast and curry)

Sign up your foursome for a tournament that will be fun, offering mulligans for sale and more!
Then join us back at the clubhouse afterwards for a curry, presentations and a raffle.
18 hole stableford round
Individual players are welcome. We will assign you a foursome.
Tournament is limited to 18 foursomes, so sign up early!

Tickets will be available in the new year

Sunday TBA September 2026 - Dinosaur Derby

Time: 1:30pm to 5 pm

Location: Scout HQ, Kidmore Lane

Cost: £3 per family

The Scout Group’s main fundraising event of the year is set to return.

Based on an old-fashioned country fair with lots of sideshows.
It is one of the biggest, family fun, community events held in Denmead.

Sorry but as the field outside the HQ where the Dinosaur Derby is held is designated as a Playing field and so unfortunately,  Dogs are not allowed (Assistance dogs excepted).
