Remembrance Day Parade

Blessed with fantastic weather, this event was extremely well attended by all our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. We also had Denmead Brownies and Guides with us this year. They all looked very smart. They were all a credit to Scouting, Guiding and our Groups. Lots of people in the village have commented on our field of poppies, so well done to all the members who made them. Here is an email I received from our District commissioner who attended:

“It was a grand occasion and most enjoyable. I can honestly say I have never before paraded with such a large number of Scouts all for one Scout Group. The youngsters were extremely well behaved and a credit to their Leaders. Please pass on my congratulations and thanks to all involved in a very appropriate commemoration. ”
