HQ solar energy project gets grant boost!

I’m delighted to report that as a result of an application to Denmead Parish Council earlier this year, Denmead Scout Group was recently awarded a grant of £2000! This will be used to help fund a solar array on the roof of the HQ which in turn should see significant savings in our energy costs. We have been talking about such a project at Executive Committee meetings for some time now but in view of the costs involved have been unable to go ahead due to higher priorities. We now hope to start this project in the Autumn. Our grateful thanks go to DPC. Watch this space for future project info!
