Backwoods cooking badge

Today the cubs built their own fires and cooked lunch for themselves. We learnt about the different type of wood to use and lit the fires using a steel instead of matches
They cooked risotto, sausages in sticks, some with dough mix round, Potatoes wrapped in bacon, and of course marshmallows. After putting out the fires and making the area safe they had completed their backwoods cooking badge. We’re all stuffed now!
